Minnesota Muslim - Time Out New York →
heidigarvin: I went and saw this show last week. It was amazing. Well worth the ten dollars someone else spent buying me a ticket. Tomorrow night is the last show of its current run. 9pm, Zephyr Theatre on Melrose at Gardner. I highly recommend it. I’ve seen a lot of one man shows and this is a very very good one. I can’t recommend it enough.

I saw The Town. 2 things.
1. Well I guess we all have to start liking Ben Affleck again. 2. Blake Lively plays a terrific piece of white trash. I can’t stop saying her one line - “What can I say, boys like me.” Except I do it in this really creepy voice. This has become a problem, especially when I’m saying it to someone who hasn’t seen The Town.

All I Needed to Score Junior High Chicks Were...
smalltownbigawkward: 1) A backwards fitted baseball cap. 2) Silk shirt. 3) House of Pain CD.  The theme of this dance was “Weddings.” And they wonder why kids in small towns get married so young.  Everything about this is unfortunate.

EXPECTATION LEVELS
I have to admit, my expectation levels for succes in standup have changed. When I started I thought, “I’m going to be on TV! I’m going to be in movies! I’m going to be a headliner!” I did a show two nights ago in a bar where a guy walked by me with a basket of chicken tenders and all I could think was, “Wow, he must really have his shit together.”
