Minnesota Muslim - Time Out New York →

I went and saw this show last week. It was amazing. Well worth the ten dollars someone else spent buying me a ticket. Tomorrow night is the last show of its current run. 9pm, Zephyr Theatre on Melrose at Gardner. I highly recommend it.
I’ve seen a lot of one man shows and this is a very very good one. I can’t recommend it enough.
I saw The Town. 2 things.
1. Well I guess we all have to start liking Ben Affleck again.
2. Blake Lively plays a terrific piece of white trash. I can’t stop saying her one line - “What can I say, boys like me.” Except I do it in this really creepy voice. This has become a problem, especially when I’m saying it to someone who hasn’t seen The Town.

EXPECTATION LEVELS
I have to admit, my expectation levels for succes in standup have changed. When I started I thought, “I’m going to be on TV! I’m going to be in movies! I’m going to be a headliner!” I did a show two nights ago in a bar where a guy walked by me with a basket of chicken tenders and all I could think was, “Wow, he must really have his shit together.”
